eMotion Wins Deloitte & Touche Virginia Technology Fast 50 Program

Recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies, eMotion is now eligible for the Technology Fast 500

Vienna, Virginia, August 23, 2000 — eMotion Inc., the global leader in digital media management, has won the Virginia Fast 50 Award sponsored by Deloitte & Touche. This award is given to companies that are considered to be driving forces in the new economy. This is the sixth year of the program’s existence and it is the qualifying round to receiving the ultimate trophy: the National Technology Fast 500, which recognizes the 500 fastest growing technology companies across the nation.

“This is an exciting time for us”, said Bob Griffin, eMotion CEO. “We obtained recognition for offering innovative media management solutions to various businesses. We have had great success in executing our business from the start, marked by the January merger of Cinebase Software, Inc. and PNI, Ltd.”

Deloitte & Touche has set specific criteria to be eligible for consideration. All of the companies awarded this honor had to show development of proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of its operating revenues, manufacture a technology-related product and devote a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.

eMotion, Inc., makes available a line of products and services that enable companies, across a gamut of specialization, to manage all of their media management needs—from creation and collaboration to searching, storage and distribution. eMotion also owns PictureQuest (www.picturequest.com), a leading provider of royalty-free and stock photography, and FOOTAGE.Net (www.footage.net), a world-wide network of footage sites.

In addition to the 21 Fast 50 programs in the U.S., there are eight global Fast 50 programs in Canada, the United Kingdom, and The Netherlands. Receiving a Fast 500 or the Fast 50 listing is a quantum achievement and is quickly becoming a competitive benchmark within the technology community. The Technology Fast 500 is compiled from the winners of Deloitte & Touche’s 22 regional U.S. and Canadian Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Technology Fast 500, and public company database research.

Deloitte & Touche will recognize eMotion at the Fast 50 Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, October 17, 2000, along with the other winners from Virginia and Maryland. The Fast 500 winners will be announced November 14, 2000, and the complete list will be published in Forbes ASAP November 27th issue.
