San Francisco, CA — April 29, 2003 — eMotion, Inc. today announced the release of version 5.0 of its out-of-the-box digital asset management software for its family of products — MediaPartner™ Enterprise, CreativePartner® and ArchivePartner™. eMotion, the world’s leading provider of hosted digital asset management solutions, has over 50 customers who use its software to protect and manage digital assets, increase productivity, reduce costs and accelerate production cycles.
eMotion’s release of version 5.0 of its digital asset management software integrates the solution’s proven strengths — media asset loading, metadata captioning, natural language search, image annotation and project workflow — with improved capabilities throughout, including:
- XML Media File Export allows users to easily transfer media files along with their thumbnail images and file metadata to a Web portal or other application that can read XML.
- New search tools, including an improved Advanced Search feature, enables users to search across specified collections and sort search results improving still upon eMotion’s patented natural language search capabilities.
- In addition to supporting Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat files, eMotion now supports Adobe InDesign file formats.
- Improved support of Kodak PhotoCD Image Files facilitates easier PhotoCD viewing, browsing and annotating, with smooth image resizing and color fidelity.
- Password security features that allow users to customize login security, addressing company-specific security policies.
- Improved user interface, reinforcing eMotion’s commitment to usability.
