eMotion Announces New Upgrades to its Hosted Digital Asset Management Services Platform
San Francisco, CA - January 11, 2005 - eMotion, Inc, a leading provider of hosted solutions for managing and distributing digital media assets and marketing content, today announced the immediate availability of updates to the eMotion Hosted Digital Asset Management (DAM) services platform. The release brings valuable new features to current and future eMotion customers and demonstrates its commitment to enhancing customer value. Key features include File Transmit, File Linking, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) integration.
“Our customers are our best product development guides - we are always looking for ways to better meet their unique needs,” said Richard Fisher, CEO of eMotion. “These new features enable our customers to have more control when they access and use their information. In addition, eMotion offers customers the option of hosted or licensed digital asset management solutions – a choice our customers appreciate.”
eMotion designed the File Transmit feature to enable file sharing without the transmission of a file. This feature not only eliminates problems associated with sharing large rich media files, but enhances collaboration. A secure link to the eMotion platform provides individuals with the option to view multiple files, convert them to new formats, or selectively download them.
Companies that wish to make distributed marketing and advertising content more widely available often face the “one file, one place” limitation of traditional file systems. The new File Linking feature solves this problem and allows customers to link related documents and assets together, simplifying the retrieval of groups of assets. Files that relate to a sales stage, a marketing campaign, or a product launch can be logically linked together without residing in the same location.
The new LDAP functionality simplifies secure management of users across an organization by integrating the eMotion user directory with corporate-wide directories. Now whenever employee profiles in the corporate directory are added, changed, or deleted, these changes will replicate into the eMotion platform.
eMotion also recently released version 5.4 of ArchivePartner™ and CreativePartner™ to its customer base using its licensed products, providing them with the same new features.
