BBC Technology Chooses eMotion, Inc. as Supplier of Digital Media Management Solutions
IBC 2001, Stand #12.310 BBC Technology announced today that it has chosen eMotion's MediaPartner 4.0, the industry leading media management solution, to power its digital media management project, entitled Mercury. BBC Technology made its selection following an intensive competitive tender that included the top providers in the industry.
eMotion, Inc. will work with BBC Technology to implement a complete
end-to-end, fully digital and tapeless production environment at
BBC Bristol. The system will manage digital material from the initial
ingest of the asset all the way through output to air.

Project Mercury is developing a strategy for a next-generation production
process that will deploy fully-networked, standard desktop access
to all media assets currently in production as well as in the archive
in the BBCs Bristol facility.
