Conservation International selects eMotion
MediaPartnerT 4.0 for Digital Media Management Solution
International non-profit streamlines media asset management processes utilizing cutting-edge technology
VIENNA, Va., October 3, 2001 eMotion, Inc. the global leader in digital media management solutions, today announced that Conservation International (CI), a field-based, non-profit organization that protects the Earths biologically richest areas and helps local communities that inhabit them improve their quality of life, has selected the companys proprietary, out-of-the-box software, MediaPartner 4.0 to streamline management of their digital media assets.
CI has on-going programs focusing on preserving and promoting awareness about the worlds most endangered biodiversity in over 30 countries throughout the world areas CI calls Biodiversity Hotspots. With the increasing number of publications and Web-based materials produced, and growing number of employees and donors dispersed throughout the world, a centralized system to store, search, collaborate on and protect their digital media assets was a necessity. eMotion MediaPartner 4.0 will be utilized to store a wide variety of digital media including photographs and video, newsletters, corporate communications and other fundraising materials.
In selecting a digital media management system, CI said that ease
of use and digital rights management were key criteria. "Photographs
of our staff and projects as well as the ecosystems and species
we are trying to protect are one of our most vital assets,"
said Sterling Zumbrunn, Visual Resources Manager at Conservation
International. "We chose MediaPartner to manage those assets
not only because it is a solid technology with a proven track record,
but as a non-profit organization, we have limited funds for technology
and eMotion was able to provide us with a solution that is cost
effective and can be rapidly deployed."
With MediaPartners Web-based interface and built-in rights management features, Conservation International has ensured secure access to its rich collection of media by staff and partners throughout the world. "eMotion is proud to be supporting such a prestigious institution as Conservation International. The work they are doing makes an incredible contribution to the global environment," said Bob Griffin, president and CEO of eMotion.
