Media Host chooses eMotion MediaPartnerT to launch South Africa's first content delivery network
IBC 2001, Stand #12.310 - Media Host, the South African-based digital media distribution and content management provider, has chosen eMotion MediaPartner™ for the launch of South Africa’s first TV Commercial Delivery Network. Media Host utilises a managed network and MediaPartner software to provide the local advertising community with an integrated media solution, that includes media collaboration, digital media distribution and digital content management.
The Media Host solution provides an alternative to the costly
and inefficient process of duplicating, distributing and storing
media content by offering an array of digital media services for
collaborating, storing, searching and delivering rich media content.
The Media Host network allows post production facilities to encode
commercials to broadcast quality MPEG-2 and upload to an advertising
agency’s content collection in MediaPartner. The advertising
agency then logs in, views the commercial, either using Real Player
or MediaPartner’s patented viewer, and traffics the spot to
broadcasters. The MPEG-2 file is then electronically delivered to
servers based at selected broadcasters and the advertising agency
receives automatic notification of delivery.

keeps a copy of the content we deliver, says Media Host Director,

content using MediaPartner’s flexible content management solution.”
